Good Mornin'!

Well I should say Good Afternoon, since it's about 11 am here! LOL! I've just been tinkering around today, I have a lot of stuff I'd like to do, but kind of no motivation right now. I did help a friend get her blog going just a bit ago; TENNESSEE GYPSY and made her up a quick blinkie to go along with it. So I guess I feel slightly accomplished today. I'm missing Jer as I know he's out of town doing a side job and feeling kind of lonely and cast aside (my words, not his). It will be nice to have him home tonight. He's such a good husband and a hard worker, and has overcome a lot in his life. I really admire and look up to him.

So, this weekend, I got together my recipes and our menu for thanksgiving dinner. I'm so excited! And I wanted to thank everyone for the idea's and recipes too- those of you that commented! I got a lot of e-mails w/ recipes as well- thank you all! So, here is our menu, it may or may not change, LOL!

Turkey! LOL!
Green Bean Casserole
Strawberry Pretzel Thingy (lol!)
Stuffing
Gravy
Pumpkin Pie w/ whipped cream
Dinner Rolls
(omg, my tummy's grumbling and my mouths' watering! Ahh!)
Mashed Potates
Cranberry Compote ala Emeril's recipe- tee hee!

So I think that is about it! There's only 4 of us, but knowing me, I will cook too much. BUT, who doesn't love Thanksgiving leftovers, hmmmm?? LOL! So today I woke up with a headache. That kind of stinks. I will have it all day and right before bed it will morph into a migraine, that's just how it works, and it won't go away until I go to sleep tonight and wake up feeling better. I got decent sleep last night, but sometimes I just get these annoying headaches. We got up this morning and I made us some pancakes (the girls favorite) and cut up a few kiwi's that Jer brought home last weekend. They were from Costco and are HUGE, and RIPE! We've never had REALLY ripe kiwi's, so the girls just assumed that they didn't like them. Well I cut two of them up this morning and the girls went nuts! Abby especially loved them and kept saying Kiwi?! Kiwi?! when she'd run out! LOL! So I better get my butt in gear and get Abby some lunch before putting her down for a nap at noon! I got laundry to do (did I mention that I *still* love my washer and dryer! It's the catalyst I tell ya!! wooohoooo!) and put away and then I may veg a bit to try and ease this headache a bit. Hope you all have had a great weekend! Only one quote for you all today- take care!

I pray for a more friendly, more caring, and more understanding human family on this planet. To all who dislike suffering, who cherish lasting happiness, this is my heartfelt appeal. Dalai Lama
