ELEVEN & Some Random Pictures

Okay. Not sure if you all know, but this nifty little blog can calculate the temperature here in our sleepy little town... pretty freakin' cool huh? Ehhh, it's just one of those "technology" things, LMBO! Anyway. I just peeked (as if I couldn't tell by going outside) and it says 11 degrees. ELEVEN degree's, people. That is just so wrong, on so many levels. *grrr* So anyway... It's really cold and we get to the elementary school this morning where I drop Emma off and she busses over to the school for kindergarteners on the South side of town. There is an aid, helper lady that ushers the kidlets onto the bus each morning and makes sure everyone gets to where they need to go. Well the last couple of days it's been DOWNRIGHT cold, and so the 1 and 2nd graders have been sent to the gym to play before class starts (instead of going out to the playground)... well this morning, per usual on days that it's freezing cold, we go wait just inside the school, where it's warm. There are about 5 or 6 little kindie kids that I tend to watch over pretty closely- along with Emma of course. LOL! Anyway, so we file out the door when their bus comes to the sidewalk. We wait a few seconds, and the aid tells some random 1 and 2nd graders to either go around to the playground (which some kids are actually excited to do, wtf?) or if they are breakfast kids, to go get their breakfast (it's beyond me why some children have to eat BREAKFAST at school... *sigh* poor things... but I digress....)- so the older kids trot off, and I was just shocked that they were sending kids out to play in ELEVEN freaking degree weather for about 30 mins before the bell was due to ring. The aid said to me (now she's one of those people who just says whatever she feels, and disregards what it actually sounds like to the other person... I asked Jeremy about "those" types of people, and he said to me quite nonchalant..."Ya, I married one of those people." HMPH!) that after 3 days of about 300 children cooped up in the gym, all the teachers and aids wanted them OUTSIDE. I chuckled and wanted to really just throw a snowball at her stupid face. She said "It's a gorgeous day out! It's above ZERO!!" I sneered and thought she was insane... to myself, of course. ELEVEN degree's here people... Why doesn't that sounds crazy to anyone else but me, throwing your kids outside in weather is only ELEVEN degrees ABOVE FREEZING??? Gosh. Clearly I ran out of creamer for my coffee this morning. *trails off*

Okay, as Abby tears her warm and cozy pajama's off, I am going to post a few pictures over the last week or so. On Sunday, SIL and her adorable little munchkin plus my rug rats got together and took christmas pictures at the oh so lovely walmart. It was quite the experience. And people wonder why I haven't gotten Abby's pictures done yet (I take enough of them myself, I don't need to go through the trauma -for me- or trying to get her to take professional ones), BAHAHAH! Nightmare waiting to happen. But all went pretty decently, and the girls were just so pretty, I could hardly stand it! :D We got a couple cute poses and pictures and a package deal that wasn't half bad, using a pretty nice coupon that was wrangled up. Abby's just a wild maniac monkey so it is quite hard to get to sit still for longer than five seconds... "special treat" anyone?! *sigh* So here's a picture of the girls before we left, and the "professional" ones should be in on the 20th. So this weekend. Yay! Other random pictures follow... hope you all are having a good hump day, it will be nice when it's over. Poopy day, poopy mood. Bleh.... oh off comes the diaper for Abby, let me go put the smack down before posting the pictures....

PEEK A BOO, I SEE YOU ABBY! :)

Apparently, I'm not the first mother who's ever served their children SNOW from right outside the back door before. LOL!

5 bowls later and they loved it...
