So, the company I work for had their annual ski trip yesterday. Silly me thought it would be a bright idea to go with a snowboard rather than skis. So here I am not having boarded in like a decade and now pushing thirty. Needless to say, it took a few runs to get back into the swing of things. I only got the wind knocked out of me twice and managed not to break anything. I can't believe I forgot how exerting it is. I had a great time once the boss man went his separate way, but a mix of the weather, me already having a cold, and the exertion did a real number on me. I have been coughing like mad since yesterday afternoon, and between the chest congestion and my sinuses, I would much rather be sleeping. I was actually quite surprised I didn't wake up sore. At least my muscles are in okay shape. But the next time I go, I am definitely skiing. I did wake up with pink-eye, though. It has been an interesting couple of days. Found out today that Uncle Sam should be gracing us with some $$$ on Friday, so we can finally get into the black. It'll be nice to start getting ahead so we can better plan our move. It'll be so nice to go somewhere where the houses are not made of gold. The people around here want so much for so little. It is insane. Looking through the ads at the houses on the market, there was a dilapidated house, approx 800 SF built about 60 years ago on less than a quarter of an acre for 175K. These people are nuts. Even to rent a 2 bedroom apartment, you are looking at about $600 a month. Greedy people. It'd be nice to convince the whole family to move. Anyway, I have rambled on enough. I hope this makes some sense, as I am in a cough medicine induced delirium right now. Peace.
