So, we've had a rough past couple of weeks w/ poor Abby. Around the 1st, she came down with a typical cold, her and Emma both had one, so we just go with it... then a week and a half into the cold, she complained of her ear hurting. Well 2 days of that, and the 3rd day of her waking that morning, crying about her ear, she went in and saw the dr. She had her first ear infection. So she started amox. on the 10th. I gave her motrin for the pain and all was fine and dandy, she stopped complaining about her ear, and got back to some sort of normalcy. Then the morning of Monday the 16th, I woke at 4 am to her puking in her crib. She had a pretty high fever that I gave her more motrin for. She puked two more times and by 10 am, she was had stopped and was just cranky and wanted to kinda laze around, which all seemed typical of someone who had a bug. So then I had called the dr after she threw up and asked about her amox... if I should give it to her or not. She said the ear infection was probably gone and not to give her any especially if she's got an upset stomach. So we ended the Rx 3 days early than the scheduled "10 days" that you're supposed to take Rx's. All was well until Wednesday the 18th- light dots started appearing on Abby's cheeks. Then her trunk and now by today (Friday the 20th), she's covered in light little dots and her cheeks clearly bother at times, which she itches at. They don't look like chicken pox to me (which there is an outbreak at Emma's school right now), but I haven't really been around anyone w/ chicken pox, and when I got mine, I was pretty young, like between 5-10 years old and I don't really remember. I'm pretty sure they are bigger dots though, than what Abby's got. These almost look like a heat rash, but they aren't raised or anything, and I don't know why she'd have a heat rash right now. She currently doesn't have a fever, and hasn't had one since the ear infection a week ago. She's a little cranky, but the dots don't seem to bother her, except the ones on her cheek that appear more like welts than the little dots on the rest of her body. I've given her benadryl and put hydrocortizone on her cheeks, and neither of those things seem to help. I had called the nurse yesterday and she said it might have been an allergic reaction to the amox, but I just don't really agree. I know that if I took her to the dr, she would just say it will go away on its own, if she had a fever and/or starts vomiting again, then obviously bring her back in, but right now, she seems to be doing ok, she's got a decent appetite (though it's not what it normally is) and doing what a typical 2 year old does, so I dunno, I'm slightly concerned as any mother would be, but have been through a lot of skin issues w/ my kids! LOL! We've got pretty sensitive skin here, and it's possible that it could be the fabric softener that I just started using. We've used it before in the past w/o any skin issues, so that might not be it- and the bumps are in her diaper area, which the fabric softener wouldn't get to, since she's always got a diaper on, no fabric touches her skin. So, I'm just kinda curious about it. Now you know after all this rambling, I've got to share pictures, right? LOL! Don't worry, they aren't too scary. LOL!
These are all pictures from today- Friday...

we got the same going on ..18 month old just got off fever we will et you know you keep us posted also ..going to the doctor
It really looks like the Roseola I told you about, but by know the dots should be fading they take about 4 days to go away. Hmmm, and it really bothers me that the doctors are just blowing this off and not even bringing her in to see what it might be.
